Corporal Williams was a member of Company C, 245th Medium Tank Battalion, 45th Infantry Division. He died of other causes on 4 June 1952 near Yongchon, South Korea.

Williams was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
