Biography:

Private First Class Quackenbush was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea during the "Inchon Operation" on 26 September 1950.

Quackenbush was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).
