Private Noreau was a member of the 511th Quartermaster Service Company, U.S. Army. He died of other causes on 21 August 1950 at Pusan, South Korea.

Noreau was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
