Biography:

Sergeant Morris was a medic with the Medical Detachment, 674th Airborne Field Artillery Battalion, 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team. He was killed when the plane transporting him to Korea crashed in the ocean off Tsukishima Island near Hiroshima, Japan, on 22 June 1953. His remains were not recovered.

Morris was awarded the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
