Private Morone was a member of the 25th Reconnaissance Company, 25th Infantry Division. He developed epidemic hemorrhagic fever and was taken to the 121st Evacuation Hospital where he died on 21 October 1951.

Morone was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
