|
First Lieutenant Moore was a fighter pilot during World War II. During the Korean War, he was stationed in Alaska, On 12 September 1950, he was a passenger in a military transport aircraft, flying from central Alaska to its base in Anchorage, Alaska, when it crashed killing him. Moore was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Asian-Pacific Theater of Operations Medal serving in the China-Burma Theater and the World War II Victory Medal. |
