Biography:

Private First Class Boling was a member of Company H, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was wounded while fighting the Chinese at Hagaru, North Korea and returned to duty shortly thereafter. He was Killed in Action while taking Hill 321 during "Operation Killer" on 3 March 1951.

Boling was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
