Biography:

Corporal Masesie was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy along the "Naktong River Line" in South Korea on 1 September 1950.

Masesie was awarded the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany).
