Biography:

John Oscar Wahkahquah
Private, U.S. Army

John Wahkahquah was drafted into the U.S. Army on 31 May 1918 and assigned to Company C, 22nd US Engineers at Camp Sheridan, AL. On 29 June 1918 he sailed for France and took part in the Meuse Argonne Drive from 25 September - 4 November 1918, but was not wounded or gassed. He left France on 23 June 1919 and arrived in the United States on 4 July 1919. He was discharged at Camp Pike, AR, on 15 July 1919.

Death and Burial

John Oscar Wahkahquah died on 11 September 1973. He is buried at Deyo Mission Cemetery in Lawton, Comanche County, OK.
