James Tahkofper
Corporal, U.S. Army

James Tahkofper was drafted into the U.S. Army and assigned to 43rd Company, 11th Battalion, 165th Depot Brigade at Camp Travis, TX. He was reassigned to 31st Company, 8th Tr.(?) Battalion roll No. 90 ½ also at Camp Travis, on 6 November 1918. He was transferred to Battery F, 53rd Field Artillery, and discharged on 2 February 1919 at Camp Travis.

Death and Burial

Corporal Tahkofper died on 12 January 1967. He is buried at Deyo Mission Cemetery in Lawton, Comanche County, OK.
