Chrismon received his Basic Training at Orlando Naval Recruit Training Center, FL, and Small Arms Training at Gulfport, MS, with the USMC. He served at Coronado Naval Station, CA; Seal Beach Marine Corps Arms Depot, CA; and Big Bear Lake Recreation Center, CA, as a Navy Seabee (Construction). He was discharged on 20 July 1978.

Awarded the Navy Good Conduct Medal.
