Robert Paul Chaat, Jr.
Technical Sergeant, U.S. Army Air Forces

Robert Paul Chaat, Jr. was born on 30 March 1922, the son of Robert Paul and Elsie Tahkofper Chaat. In World War II, Robert was a Radio Operator, Mechanic and Gunner aboard a B-25 Liberator Heavy Bomber. He served in both the European and Pacific Theaters of Operation. He flew 51 missions in the ETO and was then sent to the Pacific Theater, based in Tezpor, India, where they flew missions over the “Hump” (the Himalaya Mountains). He was also stationed at Wendover, UT, and Torretto Airfield, Italy.
