Biography:

Private First Class Krawczyk was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy during the battle of the "May Massacre" in South Korea on 24 May 1951 and died of those wounds on 26 May 1951.

Krawczyk was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Good Conduct Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal (Japan).
