Ralph Frankie Valdez
U.S. Army

Ralph Frankie Valdez was born to Ralph and Daisy Jane Tabbytosavit Valdez on 16 June 1949 at Lawton, OK.

Frankie grew up in Walters, graduating from Walters High School in 1967. He married Linda Sue Crank on 8 March 1968 at First Baptist Church in Walters and he was soon drafted into the US Army, serving in Vietnam.

Frankie and Linda made their home in Walters, where Frankie was employed at Cotton Electric for 37 years, retiring as line engineer. He was a Cotton Electric “Employee of the Year.”

He coached peewee football, boxing, baseball, softball and played men's softball for many years. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and was an avid OU fan. He loved spending time with his grandkids and watching them play sports.

Frankie served with Walters Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years; the Walters School Board for 5 years; the Walters City Council for 9 years, during which he served as Mayor several terms; was a member of the Mason Lodge; and was involved with the building of Kidtopia.

Death and Burial

Ralph Frankie Valdez died in Walters, OK, on 25 November 2013. He is buried at Walters Cemetery in Walters. Cotton County, OK.
