Corporal Griffin had served in Korea and was assigned to the Naval Gun Factory, Marine Barracks, Washington, D.C. On 8 October 1951, while on leave, he was killed in an automobile accident at Forestville, Maryland. Griffin was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. |
