Corporal Presley was a member of Headquarters Company, 734th Transportation Railroad Operation Battalion. He died of other causes on 20 November 1950 at the 8054th Evacuation Hospital at Pusan, South Korea.

Presley was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
