Private George was a member of the 696th Ordnance Ammunition Company, 335th Ordnance Battalion. He died of other causes on 15 May 1951 at the 3rd Station Hospital, Pusan, South Korea.

George was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
