|
Quartermaster First Class Craver was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he was a crew member of the destroyer-minesweeper USS Hobson (DMS-26). While on night maneuvers in the mid-Atlantic on 26 April 1952, the USS Hobson collided with the aircraft carrier, USS Wasp. The Hobson sank and 176 seamen were listed as missing. Craver was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. |
