Biography:

First Lieutenant Bromley was a member of the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on 1 September 1950.

Bromley was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

Awarded for actions during the Korean War:

(UNCONFIRMED - Citation Needed): First Lieutenant Bruce Bromley, Jr. (ASN: 0-60628), United States Army, was awarded the Silver Star (Posthumously) for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in connection with military operations against the enemy in Korea, while serving with Heavy Mortar Company, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2d Infantry Division, on 31 August 1950.
