Private First Class Beebe was a member of Company H, 3rd Battalion, 67th Armored Cavalry Regiment, stationed in Germany. He received second degree burns while unloading equipment on 23 July 1950 and died from those burns at the Nuremburg Army Hospital on 26 July 1950.

Beebe was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
