Biography:

Private First Class Baldwin was a member of the 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by enemy mortar fragments while defending his position on the main line of resistance near Hwanggi, North Korea, on 27 September 1952. He died of those wounds later that day.

Baldwin was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
