Major Baker was a veteran of World War II, serving as a nurse in Italy. During In Korean War, she was the Officer in Charge at the Pentagon Dispensary. She died as a result of a brain tumor on 26 December 1952 in Washington, D.C. Baker was awarded the European Theater of Operations Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. |
