Jacob Beser
Lieutenant, U.S. Army Air Forces

Jacob Beser was born on 15 March 1921 in Baltimore, MD.

Beser was the Radar Countermeasure Officer aboard the Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the atomic Bomb on Hiroshima on 6 August 1945. He also served on Bock's Car on 9 August, the plane that dropped the atomic Bomb on Nagasaki.

Beser was the only man to serve on both aircraft for the two bombing missions.

Death and Burial

Lieutenant Jacob Beser died on 16 June 1992 in Baltimore, MD. He is buried at Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery in Baltimore.
