Private First Class Davis was a member of the 60th Engineer Base Depot, U.S. Army. He died of other causes on 3 April 1952 at the 21st Evacuation Hospital at Pusan, Korea.

Davis was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
