Corporal Cossaboon was a member of Company C, 73rd Medium Tank Battalion, 7th Infantry Division. On 7 February 1953, he died of carbon monoxide poisoning accidentally incurred from sitting over the engine of a tank retriever in North Korea.

Cossaboon was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
