Private First Class Reed was a member of the 571st Engineer Dump Truck Company, U.S. Army. On 5 November 1950, he was killed in a vehicle accident near Kaesong, South Korea. Reed was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal. |
