Private Prevost was a member of the 726th Transportation Truck Company, 70th Transportation Truck Battalion. He suffered cerebral hemorrhage and was taken to the 11th Evacuation Hospital where he died on 11 September 1951.

Prevost was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
