Airman Third Class Millwood was a member of the 1st Shoran Beacon Squadron, 1993rd Airways and Air Communications Service Mobile Communications Squadron, U.S. Air Force. He died of other causes on 6 July 1952 near Chung-ju, Korea.

Millwood was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
