Private First Class McDaniel was a member of Detachment 3, 1st Signal Service Company, GHQ Signal Group. On 30 May 1953, while trying to repair lights, he slipped and fell 30 feet to the ground. McDaniel was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal. |
