Private Jones was a member of the 541st Transportation Truck Company, U.S. Army. On 21 September 1951, he was involved in a truck accident 6 miles south of Yanggu, North Korea and was killed. Jones was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal. |
