Biography:

Staff Sergeant Ingram was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. On 21 December 1952, he was seriously wounded while fighting the enemy in Korea, evacuated to the Naval Hospital aboard the USS Consolation (AH-15) and died of those wounds on 27 December 1952.

Ingram was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Asian-Pacific Theater Medal.
