Private Robinson was a member of the the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers stationed in Korea. He died of other causes on 26 July 1950 at the 118th Station Hospital, San Francisco, California.

Robinson was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
