Constance Adair Heege graduated from the University of Missouri in 1941 and taught school for two years before joining the Nurses' Cadet Training Corps at St. Mary's Hospital in, St. Louis, MO.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Heege served as a nurse with the U.S. Navy. She was enroute to Tokyo to aid the Korean wounded. On 19 September 1950, she was a passenger of a C-54 Skymaster transport from Kwajalein to Japan. The aircraft crashed and exploded shortly after take off killing all 26 Naval personnel on board.
Heege was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Lieutenant Junior Grade Constance Adair Heege is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirkwood, St. Louis County, MO.
