Airman Second Class Mabry was a member of the 1993rd Airways and Air Communications Service Mobile Communications Squadron, U.S. Air Force. He fell from a moving vehicle and was taken to the 1215th Evacuation Hospital where he died on 8 October 1953.

Mabry was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
