Airman Third Class Faughman was a member of the Detachment 4, 608th Aircraft and Warning Squadron, 502nd Tactical Control Group, U.S. Air Force. He died of other causes on 19 October 1953.

Faughman was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
