Airman First Class Tull was a member of the 605th Tactical Air Control Squadron, 502nd Tactical Air Control Group. On 1 December 1952, he suffocated as a result of a vehicle crash a half mile from Kimpo Airfield (K-14).

Tull was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
