Alberie Albert 'Putt' Dube was the son of Josephat (1897-1965) and Marie Anne Marin (1899-1998) Dube. He was the brother of Armand Joseph Dube (Honoree Record ID 220406); Paul (Dube) Dubay (Honoree Record ID 220605); and Leon Dube (Honoree Record ID 220606) On 15 June 1941, Alberie was drafted into the U.S. Army and, upon completion of basic and advanced training, was shipped to the European Theater of Operations (ETO). He served in various locations of the ETO, including Sicily, and the following areas of Italy: Naples; Province of Foggia; Rome-Arno (1944); Appennines (Mountains); and Po Valley (in the heart of Northern Italy). Putt was wounded in the Mediterranean area, and was released on 26 June 1944. He received his Honorable Discharge on 19 July 1945. Medals and Awards Purple Heart On 10 June 1947, Putt Dube married Angeline Devoe, daughter of Levite and Alvine Raymond Devoe, at Eagle Lake, ME. Death Alberie Albert Dube died on 25 May 2011 at Avon, CT. |
