Biography:

Aviation Ordnanceman Third Class Chandler was a member of Attack Squadron 55 aboard the aircraft carrier USS Princeton (CV-37). He was last seen at 2200 on 31 October 1952. He was listed as Missing in Action on 1 November 1952. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Chandler was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
