Private First Class Ware was a member of the 61st Engineer Searchlight Company, U.S. Army. On 2 June 1952, he was killed when the truck he was driving overturned on Route 1-B, two miles northeast of Freedom Gate.

Ware was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
