|
Major Lackey was a crew member of a RB-57 Canberra reconnaissance aircraft with the U.S. Air Force. On 14 December 1965, while patrolling the airspace during the Korean truce, his aircraft was shot down. Lackey was awarded the Purple Heart and the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Defense Service Medal. |
