Biography:

Private First Class Kenigseder was a member of the Rocket Section, Company F, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. On 6 June 1951, he was on a night patrol crossing an open field to attack enemy tanks. He was seriously wounded and evacuated to a medical unit. He died of those wounds on 12 June 1951.

Kenigseder was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
