Corporal Plant was a member of the 306th Engineer Dump Truck Company, U.S. Army. On 20 July 1952, he was drowned while wading in the Som River near Anchand-ni, South Korea. Plant was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal. |
