Biography:

Graduate, U.S. Military Academy, Class of 1933.

Colonel Hall was a highly decorated veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of the 6162nd Air Base Wing. On 11 February 1951, he was the pilot of a B-26B Invader bomber assigned to the 13th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomb Group. On 11 February 1951, while on a night intruder mission, contact with the aircraft was lost. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on 31 December 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

For his leadership and valor, Colonel Hall was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with Oak Leaf Cluster, the Silver Star Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Air Medal with 8 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation, the Republic of Korea War Service Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and several foreign awards.
