Private Flying Hawk was a member of the U.S. Army serving in Korea. He died of other causes on 27 July 1954.

Flying Hawk was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
