Private First Class Clark was a member of Company B, 194th Engineer Combat Battalion, U.S. Army. He died of other causes on 3 January 1952 near Oumsong, North Korea.

Clark was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
