Private First Class Lizotte was a member of Company A, 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He developed Hemorrhagic fever and was evacuated to the 48th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital where he died on 3 July 1953

Lizotte was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
