Biography:

Boiler Technician Fireman Crossman served aboard the destroyer escort USS Lewis (DE-535). On 21 October 1952, his ship received two hits from guns at Wonsan, North Korea, killing him and six other seamen.

Crossman was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Action Ribbon, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
