Biography:

Corporal Bloodsworth was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. Although initially listed as Missing in Action, he was Killed in Action on 12 June 1953 when an enemy hand grenade fell into his bunker. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.

Bloodsworth was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
