|
Aviation Electronics Technician Third Class Sprinkle was a crew member of a PB4Y-1P Consolidated Liberator surveillance aircraft with the U.S. Navy. On 22 August 1956, while patrolling the airspace during the Korean truce, his aircraft was shot down. His remains have not been recovered. Sprinkle was awarded the Purple Heart, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Defense Service Medal. |
