Biography:

Graduate, U.S. Military Academy, Class of 1945.

First Lieutenant Crary was a member of the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Kang-ni along the Naktong River in South Korea on 14 September 1950.

For his leadership and valor, First Lieutenant Crary was awarded the Silver Star Medal, the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
